Jordan takes charge at Philadelphia
Eddie Jordan has been appointed head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers. Jordan has long been linked to the job as he was a friend of team president Ed Stefanski after they worked together at New Jersey. And the former Wizards and Kings coach says he will turn the frnachise into Eastern Conference contenders, with a team based around Andre Iguodola and Elton Brand.
"This team has a good core group, has future stars in the waiting, they've had playoff experience for two years," Jordan said. "Now it's time to go uptown.
"I think we have two superstars already and you'll see that in the next season," Jordan added. "You'll see young players, still a relatively young team, become better."
