Usain Bolt is convinced that he is nowhere near his best even after he strolled to victory in the 400m at the Camperdown Classic in Jamaica, his first race of the 2010 season.
The 23-year-old won the race in a new meet record time of 45.86 seconds, 0.49 seconds better than the previous best which he set in the same race last year.
After his latest success, Bolt said: "It was a good race - to run 45 seconds was a good sign. I didn't feel as good as I wanted though. I guess I'm getting there, I'd say. I just want to get my fitness up. I don't think I'm where I'd want to be."
It was the Jamaican's first race since he won the 200m in September's IAAF finals in Greece and he added: "Right now I'm just concentrating on the next world championships (in 2011) and the Olympics (in 2012).
"I'm not even sure when and where my first 100m race of the year will be."
