Esteemed left-back set for summer switch
Argentine left-back Gabriel Heinze has hinted that he could leave Marseille at the end of the current season and has admitted that playing in Italy with Juventus is a possibility.
The former Paris Saint Germain, Manchester United and Real Madrid star, who once came close to moving to Liverpool, has spent the last two seasons plying his trade in Ligue 1 helping the South Coast side to the title last term.
Speaking about his future, Heinze told L’Equipe that Italy was an attractive destination to end his career:
"There is little chance of me staying, but that is no problem for me and it is no problem for Marseille. I have other projects in mind."
"Juve are a very big club and it would be perfect for my career if I could sample Italian football," he added.
"I've been close to playing in Italy twice before. First I had an offer from Manchester United that I couldn't refuse and then from Real Madrid, where I have always dreamt of playing.
"We'll have to see whether I'm fortunate enough to get a third offer this year."
