"The two clubs continue to talk, but things are moving slowly"
Dutch midfielder Dirk Kuyt is still in talks with Inter Milan according to his agent. The Liverpool star has been consistently tipped to link up with former Reds manager Rafael Benitez and could still push through a move before the transfer window closes next week.
The 30-year-old is thought to have a valuation in the region of £15 million, a figure which would allow Roy Hodgson the necessary funds to further bolster his squad. A reliable and energetic figure on the wing at Anfield, the former Feyenoord man has made a name for himself with important goal scoring feats both domestically and in Europe.
Unsettled by the changeover in management, and following a World Cup campaign which culminated in a final appearance, Kuyt is understood to be tempted by a change of scenery knowing that his career is entering its final stages.
"The two clubs [Liverpool and Inter Milan] continue to talk, but things are moving slowly," claimed representative Rob Jansen.
"The difference between demand and offer is important. It is something between the clubs but Dirk told Liverpool he no longer wants to be involved as this is something that regards his career and life.
"It doesn't mean he wants to leave at all costs, but when a club like Inter comes along it's normal to look into the situation further."
