The Memphis Grizzlies recalled guard Jamaal Franklin from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA Development League.

The 22-year-old rookie has averaged 1.9 points and 1.4 rebounds in 9.2 minutes over 14 games with the Grizzlies.

Memphis drafted the 22-year-old in the second round (41st overall) of the 2013 NBA Draft after he led San Diego State in scoring (17.0 points), rebounding (9.5), assists (3.3) and steals (1.61) in his junior season. He was the only NCAA Division I player to lead his school in all four categories.

The Moreno Valley, Calif. native was named the 2011-12 Mountain West Player of the Year after leading the conference in scoring (17.4 points) as a sophomore. He became the first sophomore to win the award since Andrew Bogut in 2005. Franklin helped guide the Aztecs to three consecutive Mountain West titles and three-straight NCAA Tournament appearances, including the first three NCAA Tournament victories in program history.
