Team GB star Luol Deng led the Chicago Bulls to a thrilling 102-101 victory over Utaz Jazz in their NBA pre-season encounter in London.

In front of a near 19,000 crowd at the 02 Arena, London-born Deng finished joint top scorer with 18 points, while he also chipped in with five assists.

However, the Bulls owed their victory to James Johnson after the rookie snatched a dramatic late win with a buzzer-beating score.

"It was just unbelievable, looking in the stands and seeing so many people who helped me play basketball and for them to see me playing in a Bulls jersey," said Deng, who is hoping to lead Team GB at the 2012 London Olympics.

"As a basketball player there is so much I want to accomplish before the Olympics but it does cross your mind and I definitely can't wait."

The NBA has now staged a pre-season game in London for three successive years amid a fanfare of publicity.
