World Superbike championship leader Jonathan Rea secured his second victory of the weekend at Assen to move 45 points clear at the top of the standings.

The Northern Irish Kawasaki rider finished just over two seconds ahead of team-mate Tom Sykes, with local favourite Michael van der Mark third for Honda, having come in for a tyre change as the track conditions dried out to move through the field.

Welshman Chaz Davies, runner-up to Rea in race one on Saturday, finished fifth behind Italian Lorenzo Savadori.

The weekend double saw Rea, the defending Superbike champion, move on to 181 points, with Davies second on 136 for Ducati, with Sykes third on 122 ahead of round five at Imola, Italy.
