Jari-Matti Latvala won the Rally Sweden to hand Toyota their first victory in nearly two decades.

The Japanese manufacturer are back in the World Rally Championship following an 18-year absence and after Latvala finished second at the season opener in Monte Carlo, he followed that up with a shock victory in Sweden.

Belgian's Thierry Neuville looked set to make up for crashing out while on the verge of victory in Monte Carlo after establishing a 40-second lead with only three stages remaining.

But drama struck once more in Saturday's final stage after Neuville hit a concrete block on the super special and was unable to continue.

Latvala then held of Estonia's Ott Tanak and Frenchman Sebastien Ogier to claim the win and move into the lead of the championship.
