Reigning British Superbike champion Shane Byrne sealed pole position at Knockhill as he looks to build on his lead in this year's standings.

The PBM Kawasaki rider won both races last time out at Snetterton and pipped team-mate Stuart Easton to pole with a best time of 48.153 seconds.

Josh Brookes is Byrne's closest challenger in the championship and was able to take third place on the grid on his Milwaukee Yamaha.

The Honda of Jason O'Halloran is on the second row in fourth, joined by Ryuichi Kiyonari in fifth for BMW and the JG Speedfit Kawaski of James Ellison in sixth.
