After a quite thrilling Austrian Grand Prix, Formula One heads to Silverstone for the 10th round of the championship. ]
Here, Press Association Sport has compiled a list of the best statistics and trivia prior to Sunday's British Grand Prix.
- Lewis Hamilton's controversial victory at the Austrian Grand Prix was the 250th by a British driver. Hamilton, with 46 wins, has more than any other Briton. He is followed by Nigel Mansell (31), Sir Jackie Stewart (27), Jim Clark (25), Damon Hill (22), Stirling Moss (16), Jenson Button (15), Graham Hill (14), David Coulthard (13), James Hunt (10), Tony Brooks (6), John Surtees (6), John Watson (5), Eddie Irvine (4), Mike Hawthorn (3), Peter Collins (3), Johnny Herbert (3), Innes Ireland (1) and Peter Gethin (1). Moss and Brooks shared victory in the 1957 British Grand Prix.
- Along with pole position and his victory, Hamilton completed a hat-trick - the 10th of his career - by setting the fastest lap. Only Jim Clark (11) and Michael Schumacher (22) have more.
- Hamilton ended his Austrian hoodoo by winning at the Spielberg circuit for the first time in his career. It means the Briton, now without victories at just Baku, Mexico and Brazil on the current Formula One calender, has won at 22 different circuits. Schumacher holds the record with 23.
- Hamilton's last-gasp move on Rosberg was the first time a race has been won on the final lap since Jenson Button passed Sebastian Vettel in the closing stages on the 2011 Canadian Grand Prix.
- Button, who has never been on the podium in 16 appearances at the British Grand Prix, arrives at Silverstone having secured his best finish - sixth in Austria - since last year's United States Grand Prix in October.
- Red Bull youngster Max Verstappen secured the second podium of his career to equal the number of top-three finishes his father Jos secured throughout his entire career. Verstappen, 18, has secured them in 78 fewer starts.
- Sunday's British Grand Prix is the 50th world championship to be staged at Silverstone. Great Britain and Italy are the only two countries to have a permanent place on the Formula One calender since Silverstone played host to the first ever grand prix in 1950.
- Mansell, the 1992 world champion, will be among the race stewards this weekend. Last Sunday, Rosberg was handed a 10-second penalty and hit with two penalty points of his licence after the stewards blamed him for the last-lap collision with Hamilton.
