St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina was awarded a Gold Glove for the sixth straight season as baseball announced its awards for outstanding fielding.

Molina's Cardinals teammate Adam Wainwright edged all National League pitchers for the award.

In the American League, the Boston Red Sox -- who hold a commanding 3-2 lead over St. Louis in the World Series -- had two players honored in second baseman Dustin Pedroia and right fielder Shane Victorino.

Pedroia won his third Gold Glove and Victorino his fourth.

Cincinnati Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips was honored for the fourth time and was the only National League infielder honored to have previously won the award.

Diamondbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt, Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons and Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado were all first-time winners.

Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez captured his first Gold Glove, Diamondbacks right fielder Gerardo Parra took home his second and Rockies left fielder Carlos Gonzalez now has three.

The American League awards were dominated by Baltimore and Kansas City, with three players on each team honored.

Kansas City first baseman Eric Hosmer and catcher Salvador Perez each collected his first and left fielder Alex Gordon seized the honor for the third straight year.

Baltimore's Manny Machado edged out Adrian Beltre at third base, shortstop J.J. Hardy won for the second straight year and center fielder Adam Jones won for the third time.

Toronto pitcher R.A. Dickey earned his first Gold Glove.
