Reports in Spain claim Arsenal captain Cesc Fabreags will almost certainly rejoin Barcelona in the summer because the 22-year-old is ‘unhappy’ with the team’s lack of ambition. Defeat by Manchester United on Sunday has once again raised fresh doubts about Arsenal’s ability to compete for the Premier League title. Should Chelsea win their next two games, Arsene Wenger’s side will be 11 points adrift. (El Mundo Deportivo)

Manchester United midfielder Anderson is seemingly on borrowed time at Old Trafford after the Premier League champions nearly allowed the 21-year-old to leave the club on loan. The Brazilian’s loan move to Paris St Germain fell through because the Ligue 1 side were reluctant to pay his wages. The former FC Porto starlet has not played since his disappointing performance against Manchester City in the Carling Cup, and was recently fined for missing training. (Daily Mail)

AC Milan star David Beckham admits the thought of playing against his former club Manchester United makes him feel ‘sick’ because he misses the club so much. The Old Trafford hero faces Sir Alex Ferguson for the first time as an opposing player when the Premier League champions meet AC Milan in the next stage of Champions League. (Daily Express)

Manchester City defender Wayne Bridge will reportedly quit international football in the aftermath of Chelsea and England captain John Terry’s affair with his ex-girlfriend. (The Times)

Various reports suggest a decision on John Terry’s England future will be decided solely by Fabio Capello. The Italian reportedly knows all the details of the Chelsea captain’s alleged affair with Wayne Bridge’s ex-girlfriend and will make a decision when he return to FA headquarters on Thursday. Alternatively, the Chelsea stalwart has vowed never to walk away from the job as England captain and should the FA’s hierarchy wish him to leave they will have to sack him. (Daily Star)

Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand will risk being suspended for the Carling Cup final against Aston Villa because he intends to fight his four match FA imposed ban. The 31-year-old missed the game against Arsenal on Sunday, and is due to miss three others unless he can get it overturned. (Daily Mail)

'Same old story, meaningless one, I really hope you and the rest of the media would focus on facts. Anyway, Fabregas has done his part for Arsenal and 7 years of dedicated service has given him a right to do what he wants - Even if it is moving on - So I don't see why media is so excited about his departure, He will just go and somebody else will step up in his shoes whether it is someone like Ramsey, Galindo, Merida, Diaby e.t.c and life continues. I love his game, he is breathtaking to watch at times and he has that mesmerizing & hypnotic effect on fans including the fans from opposing teams but, Arsenal is bigger than him, so much bigger. Arsenal were winning games and trophies before Fabregas was even born and Arsenal will surely still be winning long after he is dead. So transferring to Barcelona is such a small issue and not such a huge thing that media have to speculate day to day.'
