England's Jodi Ewart Shadoff shot up the leaderboard at the LOTTE Championship in Hawaii with a five-under 67.

After starting the second round tied for 47th following an opening 73 on Wednesday, the Northallerton-born 28-year-old fired seven birdies and two bogeys which took her up to a share of seventh.

But 19-year-old Australian Minjee Lee took control of the tournament with a 66 giving her a two-shot lead from Katie Burnett, who is eight under after two rounds.

Shadoff birdied the first before picking up further shots at the fourth, fifth and seventh in a blistering start, though back-to-back bogeys before the turn hit her progress.

However, she bounced back immediately with a birdie on the 10th, and also picked up a shot on the 12th and 18th to go four under for the tournament.

Lee's six birdies took her to 10 under, while her fellow overnight leader Moriya Jutanugarn dropped four shots back after a two-under 70.

England's Holly Clyburn also shot a 70, taking her to evens for the tournament and ensuring she made the cut.
