American Scott Brown and South Korea's KJ Choi share the lead in the Farmers Insurance Open heading into the final round at Torey Pines.

Brown shot a third round two under par 72, which featured five bogeys and three bogeys, to share the lead with Choi whose even par 72 keeps him ahead by one shot after day three.

Choi undid the good work of four birdies with two bogeys and a double bogey, the latter coming on the par fourth seventh hole.

Americans Jimmy Walker and Gary Woodland are a shot further back in a tie for third with Walker shooting a four under 68 and Woodland a one over round of 73.

A four-way tie for fifth on seven under features Americans Michael Kim and John Huh and Swedish pair Jonas Blixt and Freddie Jacobson.

A one over par round of 73 dropped Scotland's Martin Laird into a tie for ninth on six under, with Ireland's Paul Dunne a shot further back.

England's Greg Owen lies in a tie for 27th on three under and Ireland's Shane Lowry is tied for 41st on one under.

American Jason Gore hit an albatross on the par five 18th hole, his second shot from 250 yards going in during what was an erratic round.

Gore's round of 70 also featured two birdies and three bogeys and puts him in a tie for 24th on four under.
