Leicester City have confirmed that they are interested in signing Everton's Yakubu in the January transfer window.
The Nigerian international has not had a memorable season so far, struggling for goals, with just one in 14 appearances - although he does have 29 goals in 107 appearances. And now that boss David Moyes is interested in increasing his striking options, the 28-year-old's future is coming under question.
The former Portsmouth and Middlesbrough player was reportedly wanted by West Ham during the summer, but nothing came of it and now Leicester are considering a move, either loan or permanent.
Assistant manager Derek Fazackerley said: "He is one of many big names that have been linked to us.
"If he is not getting a regular game he is the type of player we would like to sign."
