Collison in Wigan frame

Jack Collison could make his Wigan debut when they look to get back to winning ways against Watford at the DW Stadium.

On Tuesday night Latics announced the West Ham midfielder would be joining them on loan until the end of the season and he was present for the incredible 3-3 draw with Yeovil - when Wigan were just seconds away from their ninth successive victory.

Defender James Perch came off injured in that game after clashing with team-mate Callum McManaman and boss Uwe Rosler admitted he would be very doubtful for this fixture four days later.

Perch would join midfield trio Ben Watson (broken leg), Chris McCann (knee) and Roger Espinoza (hernia) on the sidelines, along with central defender Leon Barnett (hamstring).

Winger Shaun Maloney (hip) and club captain Gary Caldwell (Achilles) played 76 minutes for the development squad on Tuesday but, after such lengthy absences, they may need a full 90 minutes before coming back into the first-team picture.

Watford will again be without Mathias Ranegie.

The Swedish striker serves the second game of a three-match ban for his red card against Doncaster.

Fellow forward Fernando Forestieri could also miss out with the toe injury which forced him to watch last weekend's 3-0 victory over Barnsley from the sidelines.

Lewis McGugan made his comeback from a thigh problem in that game and he could retain his place after such a convincing win.
