Beausejour banned for Latics

Wigan full-back Jean Beausejour will complete a two-match suspension when Leeds visit the DW Stadium.

The Chilean has picked up 10 yellow cards with Latics this season and after missing the 2-2 draw with Leicester on Tuesday, he has to adopt a watching brief once more.

Boss Uwe Rosler will have Martyn Waghorn available again after the striker, on loan from Leicester, was unable to feature against his parent club.

Long-term absentees Ben Watson (broken leg), Chris McCann (knee) and Roger Espinoza (hernia) remain sidelined but Rosler has enough scope to shuffle his pack again.

Leeds midfielder Rudy Austin will play no part as his side bid to halt a run of three straight defeats.

The Jamaica international is struggling with the ankle injury that kept him out of the midweek home defeat to Charlton, but McDermott has no new injury or suspension problems.

Goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, now recovered from an ankle injury, is hoping to overcome a minor knee problem and return to contention, while winger Jimmy Kebe (hamstring) remains sidelined.

Midfielders Luke Murphy and Michael Brown, wingers Dominic Poleon and Cameron Stewart, plus forward Noel Hunt are among those pushing for recalls.
