What does the signing of Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera mean for Manchester United?

Louis Van Gaal began his summer haul with signing of Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw respectively for £30 million and £29 million. With more to come.

Ander Herrera:

This guy is just 24 years of age and being a CM played the role of a CDM and a CAM . Looking at the midfield problems of red-devils can be played alongside Fellaini . He has pace , is a hard tackler and has vision for long balls too .This what united have always needed , a vision of schools and a tackling ability of Roy Keane. He is young , has the passion and can be developed into a world class midfielder.

Its hard to fit Juan Mata , Shinji Kagawa in this puzzle , but I guess Louis Van Gaal had that already in his mind and there is no doubt in his tactical abilities after seeing the Netherlands vs Mexico. If by anyhow , Strootman or Carvalho comes in , the midfield will get really strong. Loading off Ashley young and tom cleverly can generate the funds required for further transfers to rebuild the CB positions.

Luke Shaw:

Luke Shaw comes in for the LB position . With Alexander Buttner loaded off to dynamo Moscow and Patrice Evra still remaining at that position , its going to be a jumble for both when Louis Van Gaal comes in . With rumours stating that Juventus and Inter Milan are interested in Patrice Evra . Although Evra signed a new contract , Juventus are desperate to buy him out of his new contract .

Now, Luke Shaw is a natural LW plus a LB at profession , strong at the back , pace in his legs and has the ability to deliver good crosses into the box. With Adnan Januzaj developing and Luke Shaw improving, they both being 19 can combine to be provide the necessary teeth required in the United Attack.

With the two signings done within a matter of 24hrs , Ed Woodward sends out a strong message , he will not falter this time like it happened in the summer of 2013 and David Moyes could just sign Marroune Fellaini . Fans quoted he was overpriced and didn't live up to the expectations.

This time , after the David Moyes falter , The Glazers have promised a £200 million chest for full squad revamp under the strict tactical Louis Van Gaal.
