Mark Noble enjoyed the thrilling end to West Ham's FA Cup replay with Liverpool as much as the supporters.
Michail Antonio's first-half strike was cancelled out by a clever Philippe Coutinho free-kick, taking the match into extra-time.
The tie looked to be heading to penalties at Upton Park, only for Angelo Ogbonna's 120th-minute header to secure a thrilling 2-1 win.
"Tonight, obviously, you couldn't write it," captain Noble told BT Sport.
"We had a similar situation last year with Everton but it went to penalties.
"To be honest, I am out there thinking 'where am I going to stick my penalty?' Then Angelo steps up and saves everyone the heartache of penalties, even their players.
"Do you know what? This is the FA Cup, innit," he added.
"Extra-time, two minutes to go and Angelo pops up with an unbelievable header. I mean, it's a great ball from Dimi and we've got so much height in there. We don't score enough from set-plays.
"What a time to do it. The crowd are waiting for the winner and there's no better time for it."
Ogbonna joined Nolan and was delighted by the timing of his first West Ham goal.
"I am very happy to score this goal in the last minute," he said.
"I am really pleased for the supporters, for my team because everybody wants to go through so I am really happy."
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp's emotions were, understandably, much different after the match.
"We played well - the young players were brave," he said, having brushed off questions about the free-kick which led to Ogbonna's winner.
"That's good but obviously in this moment it is not too easy because we are only here to win in a cup game. In a cup game, there's only one reason why you play and that's to win,
"You don't have to show your best performance, you have to go to the next round. The door was wide open tonight for us because we really did well, but it was not enough.
"We have to carry on, we have to fight the next game again. How can I say, it is not the most easy season for Liverpool FC.
"A lot of things happened and nothing is easy from the hand, so each chance is hard work."
