Wes Burns scored twice as Wales Under 21s claimed their second straight win in their 2017 European Championship qualifying campaign with a 3-1 success over Luxembourg in Esch-sur-Alzette.

The Bristol City man got the visitors off to a fine start with a 35th-minute effort before Liverpool's Harry Wilson doubled the visitors' lead by firing past Valentin Roulez 18 minutes after the break.

Burns struck his second to seal the Welsh victory in the 72nd minute before Luxembourg grabbed a consolation in injury time through Dejvid Sinani.

Victory keeps Wales at the top of Group 5 after they kicked off their qualifying campaign with a convincing 3-1 win over Bulgaria in March.

Romania, Armenia and Denmark are also in the running for a single automatic qualifying slot for the finals in Poland in two years' time.
