Vidal set to finally swap Turin for Manchester this summer?

Arturo Vidal was the one-time hotly pursued player that flirted with a move to the Premier League but ultimately was destined to remain at Juventus with performances this season that have been described as ‘subdued’. The Chilean did however have a strong match against Roma that has sparked speculation about another summer move should he bring greater consistency to his game.

Reports from calciomercato.com suggest that a rejuvenated Vidal could be put before Man United and City for auction to raise 20-25million Euro (£14.4million) that could be reinvested to strengthen key roles and attempt to keep hold of Pogba. Vidal and Llorente are not considered to be essential elements at Juventus for the season to come and could consider a move for Edinson Cavani or even Radel Falcao from the assets of the two sales.

The 27-year-old Chilean joined Juventus in 2011 from Bayer Leverkusen where he has gone on to make 113 league appearances and scored some 34 goals. The midfielder has three Serie A titles and 2 Supercoppa Italiana titles. Vidal was named the Juventus Player of the Year for 2012-13.
