United linked with Bayern hitman

What has to be one of the more unlikely transfer rumours links Manchester United with a Bundesliga striker who seems to be loving life Bayern Munich. Admiring a player or club will only get you so far in the transfer window, the player themselves need to want to move.

Robert Lewandowski has scored 22 goals in all competitions since joining Bayern Munich on a free from Borussia Dortmund. The 26-year-old has been linked with Old Trafford before and did make a bid for the player whilst he was still at Dortmund.

Reports in Spain however claim that United have enquired about the availability of the Bayern Munich striker.

The Polish striker was the inspiration behind the rout of Porto in the Champions League clash and now finds himself being the obvious subject of interest from other leading European clubs as we approach the close season and the opening of the transfer window.

Our view however is I am sure that Lewandowski would need an awful lot of convincing to up-sticks and United will likely look elsewhere. United have been linked with a number of strikers in Europe with question marks hanging over the futures of Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie.
