Lyon central midfielder Jeremy Toulalan is rumoured to be the subject of enquiries from Arsene Wenger and Luiz Felipe Scolari, and a number of other European clubs.
According to reports in the French press Toulalan has been watched by Gilles Grimandi, Wenger's French scout on a regular basis since September, as well as scouts from Chelsea and three or four other top European clubs.
Toulalan moved to Lyon from FC Nantes for £4.5 million in 2005.
The Frenchman has been a regular in Raymond Domenech's France side, making the holding role in midfield his own, amid competition from Alou Diarra, Lassana Diarra and Rio Mavuba to succeed Claude Makelele.
Toulalan is rumoured to be valued at between £8 and £12 million by Lyon, who could find a substantial offer difficult to turn down.
