Tottenham will launch an £18million bid to snatch Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony according to the Daily Mail.

The Ivorian striker has an impressive goal scoring record over the years scoring 110 goals in 210 appearances for clubs including Sparta Prague, Vitesse and latterly Swansea City. Good in the air with great upper body strength, a good turn of pace and clinical finishing have made him hot property this summer.

Liverpool are thought to have already discussed personal terms with Bony and can offer the striker the platform of Champions League football to showcase his undoubted talent. They also have plenty of money to spend after the recent departure of Luis Suarez to Barcelona.

Tottenham though seem desperate to land their man. With Bony already netting an impressive 16 goals in the Premier League in his debut season the club are seemingly looking to more established Premier league players after the disasters of last season. Following the advice of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris the club seem to be looking to spend their money wisely after the influx of players such as Roberto Soldado and Erik Lamela failed to adapt to the pace of the competition last time out.
