Torres reveals reasons for leaving Chelsea

When El Nino first arrived to San Siro in late August, not few blue fans felt relieved. The most expensive Chelsea player ever finally unveiled to press what got him leaving the team on a two-year loan to AC Milan.

The Spaniard was booed by the spectators over the last few not-so-successful seasons. Being lured away from Liverpool for £50m in January 2011, the 30-year-old was expected to do incredibly in every single game.

When you look back at it, he made almost none of which was requested of him. With a little more than a 100 appearances at Stamford Bridge, Torres scored just 20 goals. This is funny because he shook the net 65 times for the Anfield team in even less caps.

The real reason for leaving Chelsea, however, were not disagreements with Jose Mourinho nor he was forced out of the club.

' Mourinho and I have a good relationship and still today we continue to talk to each other. '

' Mourinho has always been good to me. The decision to leave was a personal one because I needed more, I needed to feel important,' Torres replied.
