West Brom boss Tony Pulis has warned potential suitors they will not be able to sign Saido Berahino on a cut-price deal this summer.
Berahino has been linked with a move to Watford before the start of next term, but Pulis has backed West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace to play hard ball over the striker's future once again.
Peace has refused to bow to Berahino agitating for a move in the past few transfer windows, and Pulis believes the Baggies chief will not change that stance now.
Berahino is about the enter the final 12 months of his West Brom contract, but Pulis insists the club will not just let the 22-year-old leave on the cheap.
"I don't think my chairman does bargains," said Pulis, when asked if Premier League rivals are eyeing a knock-down price for Berahino.
"I know they're talking about it, but you come and work with my chairman - he doesn't do bargains."
West Brom's winless Premier League run stretched to eight games with Saturday's 1-1 draw at Bournemouth.
The Baggies took the lead through Salomon Rondon's ninth goal of the season, only for Matt Ritchie to grab a late equaliser.
Craig Gardner missed a penalty that both Pulis and Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe admitted turned the tie, leaving the visitors frustrated not to close out the win.
West Brom boss Pulis admitted he was surprised that Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter avoided a red card in a fiery display.
Arter was booked in the second half for a fulsome challenge on Darren Fletcher, but avoided an early exit despite shoving Gareth McAuley off the ball before the break.
"I think Harry Arter's a lucky boy tonight: his push in the first-half was really a yellow card," said Pulis.
"The handball the second half that stops us from breaking is a yellow card, and his tackle on Fletcher is a straight red card. But we finished the game 11 versus 11.
"I think we deserved to win the game, I thought the players' attitude was very good.
"We've not got the results we've deserved in the last five or six games, without a shadow of a doubt.
"And this was another game where I'm really disappointed for the players, because their attitude and application was very good.
"Obviously we needed Gards to score to make it 2-0, and if it goes to 2-0 I think we go on and comfortably win the game.
"We're disappointed but it never went our way, but that's nothing against our players. It's a boiling hot day and it would have been easy for the players to have their sandals on and they didn't. We worked hard."
Bournemouth boss Howe hailed goalkeeper Artur Boruc for his smart penalty save that kept the hosts in the clash.
"It was an outstanding save, Artur is an outstanding goalkeeper, and he's saved some good penalties for us over the years," said Howe.
"It was a massive moment for us because if we'd gone down 2-0 it might have been a bridge too far.
"Before the season started we'd have bitten off arms, legs, whatever was available to be in this position that we're in now."
