Supersub says Liverpool are good enough for Champions League

Former Liverpool legend David Fairclough believes that Liverpool are good enough to finish in the top four of the Premier League and qualify for the Champions League next season.

While it now looks impossible to stop Chelsea for the title, four points separate second and sixth place and Liverpool have a glut of home games remaining because of the work needed on Anfield at the start of the season.

"There's absolutely no doubting that we have the quality, it's just about having that consistency and getting the approach right," Fairclough told the official site.

"Jürgen's a very ambitious manager, he hasn't come to Liverpool just to play out time, so to speak.

"He's motivated, he's highly driven, and I'm sure he's getting that over to players at this point in time, and it's up to everybody to actually stand up and deliver.

"I'd like to think that they're well capable of qualifying for the Champions League."
