Burnley will close 2016 with a Premier League home fixture on New Year's Eve against David Moyes' Black Cats and then open 2017 with a trek to the North East for a visit to the Stadium of Light for an all Premier League FA Cup clash.
No doubt Premier League survival will be a priority for both clubs and it will be interesting to see which of the Premier League's relegation candidates wants to progress to the 4th round the most?
