Spurs Nil - Nil and Poch has no clue

I can't believe they actually pay the players and the manager what they do in a team where mediocre seems to be ok.

From the start Spurs had no idea how to unlock the Crystal Palace defence, that sat in two banks of four being so disciplined that all they did was frustrate a Spurs side that really had no clue how to break them down.

There were wayward efforts from Kane and notably Soldado, clear signs of a striker who at this moment in time has no confidence to be able to finish the ball where it belongs and not in row Z. Bentaleb showed no sign of apparently what he is capable of. With one shining light in Lloris who saved the game on more than one occasion it will be difficult to see how if an offer large enough comes in and knowing what Levy is like he will be surely of in January, after all playing mediocre football is not the calibre of one of the best keepers in the world should be doing. Mason attacked where he could and up to his substitution was one of Spurs best players, the introduction of Paulinho who at the most gave more fouls away than he did passes was pointless to say the least, and with the spurs faithful singing out for the introduction of Aaron Lennon from the 65th minute was all for nothing until his introduction in the 80th minute which seemed like it was done to please the crowd after all giving a player 10 minutes to make a difference in a game which need him from the start was hopeful.

Pochettino stood on the side lines shaking his head and with his arms crossed and yet made no attempt to encourage the team forward or to even try and make substitutions that where difference makers after all would you pick Chadli above Lennon I know I wouldn’t.

It is strange at Spurs at the moment they can go from a team that beats Everton with hard work and to be honest the best game I have seen this year to a team that struggles to get motivated for a game against palace.

Is it the managers responsibility to get the team up for games like this I would say yes but hey I’m just a supporter of a team that year after year seems to not live up to the reputation it has maybe it doesn’t deserve it.
