Southend look for win in play-off chase

Southend must beat relegation battlers Bury to keep up hopes of making it into the League One play-offs ahead of rivals Millwall.

Goalkeeper Christian Walton has seen his loan spell from Brighton extended, with Mark Oxley (elbow) and fellow stopper Ted Smith (wrist) both still continuing their rehabilitation.

Left-back Ben Coker could be available again following a knee problem, but midfielder Anthony Wordsworth is sidelined by a hamstring problem.

Centre-half Ryan Inniss has been ruled out for the rest of the campaign because of a dislocated shoulder.

Nathan Cameron could play some part again for Bury.

The defender (knee) made his first appearance since mid-August when he came on late on against Northampton last weekend and he is likely to be among the replacements again.

Boss Lee Clark may stick with the team that defeated the Cobblers 3-0 as the Shakers start the day two points and two places above the relegation zone.

Clark remains without long-term absentees Craig Jones (calf), Andrew Tutte (hamstring), Zeli Ismail (hamstring) and Danny Mayor (hip).
