Ross County defender Kenny van der Weg is ignoring Hearts' managerial changes
Ross County defender Kenny van der Weg has pledged to focus on their own game ahead of the visit of a Hearts side in a state of flux.
Hearts Under-20 coaches Jon Daly and Andy Kirk will be in charge of the visitors in Dingwall on Saturday following the departure of Robbie Neilson and Stevie Crawford to MK Dons.
Neilson signed off in style with a 2-0 victory over Rangers on Wednesday night, a result which took the Gorgie club to second spot in the Ladbrokes Premiership.
And Van der Weg knows they will have to concentrate on being on top form themselves rather than hoping Hearts are unsettled by dressing-room changes.
The Dutch left-back, whose team drew 0-0 at Tynecastle in September, said: "We look to ourselves. I saw their game on Wednesday, they played well, but we have a good team as well and I think we can beat them.
"We played away at Hearts and could have won there, so why not at home?"
County are unbeaten in three matches after a difficult run and Van der Weg feels he is personally getting to grips with the Scottish game.
"In the beginning I had to see what happened, it was a big difference," the summer signing from NAC Breda said.
"But I settled in and now I see what we have to do. I understand Scottish football now."
Meanwhile, Hearts director of football Craig Levein says the club are looking for a "young and energetic" coach to replace MK Dons-bound Robbie Neilson.
Hearts accepted a compensation offer for Neilson on Thursday night and Under-20s coaches Jon Daly and Andy Kirk will take charge of the team for Saturday's Ladbrokes Premiership clash with Ross County in Dingwall.
Newcastle assistant coach Ian Cathro is the runaway favourite but the Edinburgh club have not yet made any approaches for a new head coach.
However, Levein is hopeful of getting someone in place before the Jambos play Rangers at Ibrox on December 10 along with an assistant, as Stevie Crawford is also moving to Milton Keynes.
Speaking at a media conference at Hearts' training base, Levein said: "I'm not going to get involved in talking about individuals. Ian is a friend of mine but he is employed by another club, so I don't want to talk about him.
"The profile hasn't changed from Robbie really. We are looking for a young, intelligent, energetic, enthusiastic coach who can help us move on from where we are. And that's the key, to try to get someone in who can improve us."
