Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo has urged Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli to do his talking on the pitch rather than off it.
The Real Madrid megastar was responding to Balotelli’s recent claims that Manchester City can now boast the best strike force in Europe, surpassing even Barcelona’s, but the Portuguese ace believes the 20-year-old Italian’s career in the Premier League will be better served by refraining from his outspoken commentary.
Speaking to Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, Ronaldo said: "Mario (Balotelli) is a good player, but he has to talk less and play more.
"In the Premier League, if you know how to listen and want to learn, you can become a great player. I hope he does it.
“But today he puts too many other things in front of his profession and that isn't alright.”
