Cykwa set for Dale bow

Rochdale's new loan signing Tomasz Cywka is in contention for his debut in the home derby clash with Oldham.

Midfielder Cywka arrived from Blackpool in midweek and is expected to feature, but boss Keith Hill will be without midfield pair Stephen Dawson and Matty Lund.

Lund missed the midweek draw at MK Dons, while Dawson was forced off midway through the first half. Both players are struggling with unspecified knocks.

Another midfielder, Matty Done, will sit out the second game of his three-match ban following his dismissal in last week's home defeat to Doncaster.

Oldham have bolstered their options by signing forward Tom Youngs and goalkeeper Paddy Kenny on loan from Bolton.

Youngs, 20, has joined after making two appearances as a late substitute for Wanderers last term, while veteran shot-stopper Kenny will compete with Paul Rachubka and Neil Etheridge for time between the posts.

The Latics will have Jabo Ibehre back after he was banned for Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Preston, while Daniel Johnson was cup-tied for that clash.

Brian Wilson returned from illness in midweek and George Elokobi is back in contention here, but Adam Lockwood remains sidelined, with the captain rocked by a fresh knee injury which may require surgery.
