Roberto Martinez believes Bournemouth will continue to improve as the season progresses but refused to say whether he expects them to stay up.
The Everton manager watched Bournemouth recover from trailing 2-0 and 3-2 down to his talented team to secure a 3-3 draw and a valuable point on Saturday with a 98th-minute equaliser from Junior Stanislas.
The point continued an improved recent run for the Cherries, who impressed in defeat to Newcastle and in claiming a 2-2 draw at Swansea.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has previously spoken of his admiration for Martinez's philosophy and the team he built at Wigan, which repeatedly escaped relegation after impressive finishes to the season.
Martinez was asked if Howe's team reminded him of the one he worked with until 2013, and the Spaniard said: "The mentality, or the footballing philosophy, of wanting to be on the ball, wanting to score goals, wanting to win games, from that mindset there are similarities of course.
"I always think that sort of approach can give you a real strong ending of the season, because you keep playing in the same manner.
"If you've got goals in your side you've always got opportunities to win football games, and from that point of view there are similarities, but every team is very, very different.
"It's very early in the season (to say if Bournemouth will stay up). I'm sure that what Bournemouth have as a team is that winning mentality of achieving promotion last season, they've really got continuity at the club with the manager and the players. All you're doing from game to game is trying to accumulate as many points as you can.
"I don't see anyone fighting relegation just yet, in November."
Martinez's team had taken the lead through goals from Ramiro Funes Mori and Romelu Lukaku. After Adam Smith and Stanislas scored to level the game at 2-2, Ross Barkley again put Everton ahead in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
Incredibly, three minutes later, Stanislas equalised again to secure a 3-3 draw, and Howe, whose team next visit Chelsea before hosting Manchester United, urged his team to maintain the sense of momentum they have recently developed.
"It might have something to do with the momentum that we've built but as long as we perform in those games, in the manner that we have done in the last three or four, I think we'll take whatever comes," Howe said.
"I don't think the players would have got to this point if they weren't fighters, weren't special people."
