Real Madrid back in for speedster Raheem Sterling as details of contract delay revealed

Raheem is certainly a rare talent that has had to shoulder the burden of a team transitioning to a post Suarez era and with injuries and difficulties meaning demonstrating his own versatility as someone capable of playing on the wing, in midfield or up front.

The 20-year-old has been in something of a limbo state as far as his Anfield future goes with contract negotiations taking longer than expected which has been reported to be down to the size of the young players personal terms. Brendan Rodgers however was keen to assure plans that it was nothing to do with the player he wanted to stay at Anfield but this hasn’t stopped reports claiming the player was holding out simple due to the money.

It has since reported in the Daily Mail that Raheem Sterling’s agent Aidy Ward was leaving Impact Sports Management who represent the England star. His agent is taking Sterling with him which means that negotiations have become complicated and drawn out.

It seams likely at least in the short-term that Raheem will continue to star for the Merseyside club but Real Madrid are thought to at least be considering a significant move for the player that wil be part funded by sales of current players.

A report in the Daily Star reveals that a £50m bid is being considered by Real to bring the player to the Bernabeu and that Chelsea are also interested in the player.
