Guthrie out for Royals

Reading will again be without Danny Guthrie when they host Blackpool.

Midfielder Guthrie has yet to recover from the calf injury which has kept him out of the last three matches, but boss Nigel Adkins hopes he will be available to face Millwall on Saturday.

The Royals have no new injury concerns following Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Ipswich but are still without Wayne Bridge, Sean Morrison (both knee), Mikele Leigertwood (ankle), Jason Roberts (hip) and Jem Karacan (cruciate).

Royston Drenthe and Nick Blackman are pushing for recalls should Adkins opt to freshen up his side.

Blackpool are likely to be without Thomas Ince once more when they hope to end an 11-game winless streak.

The England Under-21 international, whose dad Paul Ince was sacked last week, has been given permission to seek a loan move to the Barclays Premier League and missed the 1-1 draw with Doncaster at the weekend.

Barry Ferguson has been handed the reins on a temporary basis and did not pick himself in the squad against Rovers to concentrate on touchline affairs, a decision he looks set to make again.

The interim boss will again be without central defender Gary MacKenzie (ankle), utility man Neal Bishop (knee) and forwards Tom Barkhuizen (shoulder), Bobby Grant (foot) and Ricardo Fuller (hamstring).
