Rob Green admits QPR's miserable away form is putting pressure on them to perform and pick up points at home.
Harry Redknapp's side have lost all seven of their Barclays Premier League away games since promotion and slipped into the bottom two on Tuesday night following a 2-0 defeat at Swansea.
Rangers host fellow strugglers Burnley on Saturday in a classic six-point shoot-out with the Clarets having moved above them after their 1-1 midweek draw against Newcastle.
"This is the difficulty with not picking up points away from home, the home games become that much more critical," Green said after Rangers' latest loss on the road, which came on the back of a crucial 3-2 home victory over Leicester.
"Loftus Road is a great place to play football, the fans get behind you and it's a great atmosphere.
"It's something we really enjoy and playing at home is a different proposition.
"We've been a difficult team to beat at home and Burnley is going to be a big game."
Rangers have collected seven points from their last three home games, holding champions Manchester City to a 2-2 draw as well as beating Aston Villa and Leicester, but their away form remains a serious cause for concern.
But Green said there are mitigating circumstances given their tough away programme in the first half of the season.
"Everyone's saying you've not picked up a point away from home and that's true," Green said.
"It's difficult to hear that in December but we've almost played every team in the top half away from home.
"So that shows the size of the task we've had so far this season.
"We went to Newcastle who had won five on the bounce, we went to Manchester United on the back of them signing (Radamel) Falcao and (Angel) Di Maria.
"There have been some big asks but out of the seven there have been three games where we haven't done ourselves justice.
"They have tarnished the performances of the other four where we've been in games which have been close encounters."
England goalkeeper Green was in fine form at the Liberty Stadium, producing several brilliant saves before Ki Sung-yeung and Wayne Routledge finally reflected Swansea's superiority on the scoresheet in the final 12 minutes.
But he said he could take little personal satisfaction from his own individual display after yet another Rangers away defeat.
"To take any consolation away from it is minimal," Green said.
"It was one of those games where you hang in there for as long as you can but once the goal goes in the backbone is broken and it's the end of the game.
"It's hard enough to get the ball off Swansea at the best of times, so to do it when they've got the confidence of a goal and you're chasing the game is very difficult.
"We've got a tough game against Burnley on Saturday but if we take three points from that you'd say six points from nine has been a good week."
