PSG to dodge FFP rules to beat United in race to sign Di Maria

The Express are reporting that PSG are to avoid Financial Fair Play restrictions by offering Angel Di Maria a one-year loan deal and derail Manchester United’s own plans to sign the midfielder.

PSG with their eye-watering transfer of David Luiz for £50million have already consumed most of their allowance and a further £40million would put them at risk of further fines and restrictions says the report.

Di Maria returns from his post-World Cup holiday next week when a decision is expected to be made concerning his future. The report suggests the player wants to continue with a top European side and with PSG having Champions League football you would expect them to be successful with their ‘loan with a view’.

The 26-year-old was a key member of the Real Madrid squad that won the Champions League but with Bale and now Rodriguez on the scene his future has been the subject of intense speculation. The player has been linked with a number of clubs but even the Manchester Evening News feel that other clubs are in the driving seat and Manchester United need to look elsewhere.

Real Madrid are closing in on their James Rodriguez capture and it is believed Real need to reduce their bills to balance the books.
