Port Vale without suspended Kjell Knops for Bradford clash

Port Vale will be without defender Kjell Knops when they host play-off-chasing Bradford in Sky Bet League One.

The Dutchman begins a two-game suspension after picking up his 10th yellow card of the season during last weekend's draw with Bristol Rovers.

Caretaker manager Michael Brown has also seen his attacking options reduced, with on-loan striker Tyler Walker unavailable due to the knee injury he suffered against the Pirates.

Defender Remie Streete (knee) and midfielder Anthony de Freitas (groin) remain sidelined for relegation-threatened Vale.

Bradford winger Mark Marshall is hoping to shake off a hamstring injury in time to face his former club.

Marshall was forced off late in last week's home draw with Bolton, but has not been ruled out by boss Stuart McCall.

Former Port Vale striker Alex Jones will play no part due to a hip injury, but midfielder Josh Scowen is expected to shake off a knock sustained against Bolton in time to make his 50th appearance for the Bantams.

Matt Kilgallon (shoulder) remains sidelined, while fellow defender Kevin Toner is hoping to make his first appearance for the club.
