Pogba to make transfer U-turn?

Just when you thought this transfer would roll towards its seemingly inevitable conclusion when Paul Pogba returns from holiday in the US and signs on the dotted line to make history something is reported to make you wonder. The stage is set for Pogba to become the world's most expensive player and potentially the first to command a £100m transfer fee. That is if Juventus get their way and insist on the extra few million. And what is a few million between friends?

So what is being reported and how does that change things? Well the source hardly seems anything for the various agents to be overly concerned about and seems to regurgitate earlier claims that Pogba's preferred destination is Real Madrid.

So Cadena SER via the Daily Star claim that Real Madrid are still in the game and the only thing stopping them is paying for it. Really? That is an important element of any transfer. Anyway so they say all they have to do is sell James Rodriguez, a player out of form that has been struggling to get minutes. A player that has also stated that he intends to stay and fight for his place in the starting lineup.

Just can't see that claim coming to anything. I can't see any possibility of a U-Turn and I fully expect a done deal of some sort when the player has finished his tour of America. The only question should be just how much Manchester United will have to part with to complete the deal.

Massimiliano Allegri has also grown tired of constant questions regarding the future of Paul Pogba, effectively banning the subject according to reports in the Daily Mail.
