Brett Pitman (Bournemouth)

Harry Arter and Yann Kermorgant have been key players in Bournemouth’s unlikely push for promotion, but Brett Pitman has been the stand-out performer in March – his hat-trick against Blackpool taking his tally for the season to 13, and past the 100 mark for the club.

Troy Deeney (Watford)

Deeney helped keep the Hornets on course for automatic promotion with five goals in the last month, including a brace in the 2-0 win at Wigan which took his total for the season to 19. He was also on target against Reading and Wolves after hitting a priceless winner at home to Fulham.

Patrick Bamford (Middlesbrough)

Defeats to leaders Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest threatened to derail Boro’s promotion bid, but Patrick Bamford enjoyed a profitable month with goals against Ipswich (two) and Millwall before hitting the winner at title rivals Derby to make it 16 for the season.

Wes Hoolahan (Norwich)

Norwich have been revitalised under new boss Alex Neil and no-one has benefited more than midfield general Wes Hoolahan who has been given the licence to thrill. Goals against Nottingham Forest, Huddersfield and Millwall have helped force the Canaries back into the promotion mix.
