PFA Fans' Player of the Month contenders for November: League Two

Aaron O’Connor - Newport

Newport’s Aaron O’Connor is the stand-out performer in League One having claimed a first career hat-trick against Bury and two other goals in November. After his three goals shook the Shakers, O’Connor was delighted to take home the match ball signed by his teammates.

Phil Edwards – Burton Albion

Albion fans were disappointed to see previous manager Gary Rowett depart for Birmingham, but the arrival of Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink has inspired all at the Pirelli – not least Phil Edwards who has scored in each of Burton’s two wins under the new boss.

Derek Asamoah – Carlisle

According to manager Keith Curle, Asamoah is ‘nowhere near fit yet’ after signing a short-term deal with the Cumbrians which has been extended until January, but the 33-year-old striker has still managed four goals in five games as Carlisle continue to climb the table.

James Collins - Shrewsbury

His two goals in the 3-2 defeat to Exeter ultimately counted for nothing in terms of points, but James Collins has been instrumental in the Shrews’ climb to fourth place in the table, and four goals in the month of November was a just reward for his efforts.
