PFA Fans' Player of the Month Contenders for League 1 and 2: December

23 December 2014 01:57

Walsall striker Tom Bradshaw is proving to be something of a revelation in League One as the Saddlers continue to climb the table against all the odds.

Just one defeat in ten has seen Walsall move to mid table, and Bradshaw’s form has reflected that of the team.

Despite missing the whole of October through injury, Bradshaw is now in double figures and drawing admiring glances from managers in the Championship.

He said: “It's a personal landmark to hit ten goals for the first time. And to do it before Christmas, having missed seven or eight games, makes it even better."

Andy Williams has been making sweet music for Swindon this season as the Robins continue to push for promotion under Mark Cooper.

MK Dons are also in the promotion mix and their 7-0 win against Oldham followed an earlier 6-0 thrashing of Colchester.

Will Grigg, leading scorer Benik Afobe and Deli Alli were all on target in the demolition of the Latics as the Dons extended their unbeaten run to 11 games.

Rochdale’s Ian Henderson, now on ten goals for the season, and Jimmy Ryan of Chesterfield are also in the hunt for the monthly award.

In League Two, Danny Hylton of Oxford – the division’s leading scorer – continues to impress, along with Plymouth’s top notch striker Ruben Reid who is also in to double figures.

Luton trio Jake Howells, Luke Wilkinson and Luke Rooney are also in the mix, with Accrington’s Sean Maguire starring in Stanley’s revival in League Two.
