No Millar for Blue Toon

Peterhead host Stenhousemuir at Balmoor with the Blue Toon again without the services of recent signing Mark Millar who has a knee injury with striker David Cox also out after suffering the recurrence of a foot injury.

Manager Jim McInally said: "We were disappointing against Forfar in the first half and stood off them. We went in 1-0 down but we came out and were a lot better in the second half. Hopefully the players have learned that they have to be switched on totally for 90 minutes as they are playing at a higher level now.

"To beat Stenhousemuir we need to put in a 90 minute performance."

The Warriors will be without Bryan Hodge, who suffered a shoulder injury in last Saturday's defeat at Dunfermline, while player/coach Colin McMenamin is suspended after being dismissed in the same game.

Goalkeeper Chris Smith remains out after picking up a knee injury in pre-season with assistant manager Brown Ferguson looking for the Ochilview men to keep improving.

Ferguson said: "We are disappointed with where we are in the league however our performances are getting better. We had quite a turnaround of players in the summer and things are gradually settling.

"We are not too far away from turning performances into points and hopefully we can come home from Peterhead with the win."
