Maddison boost for Posh

Marcus Maddison is pushing for a return to the squad as Peterborough prepare to host Leyton Orient.

The Posh playmaker has been nursing a dead leg recently but caretaker manager Dave Robertson could include him on Saturday as he looks to maintain his 100 per cent record since being handed the reins.

Striker Conor Washington has put himself in the frame for a first start in almost a month after coming off the bench to score the winning goal at Sheffield United in midweek.

Harry Beautyman, David Norris and Aaron Mclean are also options for Robertson but any changes are expected to be kept to a minimum.

Orient could be unchanged despite slipping to a first defeat in three matches in midweek.

Striker Darius Henderson is still struggling with a knee injury while goalkeeper Adam Legzdins (shoulder) and midfielder Lloyd James (broken leg) are long-term absentees.

But boss Fabio Liverani was encouraged by his side's display in the 3-1 defeat by leaders Bristol City, coming off the back of wins over Oldham and Walsall, and is likely to keep changes to a minimum.

Chris Dagnall will continue in attack having found the net in the last two matches.
