Bayern Munich are considering a bid for Liverpool and England midfielder Raheem Sterling according to German newspaper Bild and the Mail if they fail to acquire Dortmund ‘s Marco Reus.

Bild reports that Pere Guardiola (Pep’s brother and agent of Luis Suarez) has been instructed to begin talks with the England internationals representatives to pave the way to bring the player to the Bundesliga.

Reus himself is thought to have concerns over following the likes of Lewandowski and Gotze to the Allianz Arena and the 25-year-old may prefer other bids which are likely to be many considering the players £20million release clause.

Arsenal, Liverpool, United and Chelsea are all understood to be waiting for the nod to register a bid for Reus but Guardiola is thought to be growing impatient over the Reus situation and want to get Sterling thinking about a move to the Allianz Arena.

Sterling has been one of the few bright spots in the post Suarez season where they have struggled across the team for form, fluidity and goals and being sounded out by other clubs will be concerning to the bosses and fans. Sterling is yet to agree a long-term contract at the Barclays Premier League club where he currently earns just £25,000-a-week. A new informal offer is thought to be in the region of £70,000-a-week but the 20-year-old may wait and see what options are available.

Liverpool have crashed out of the Champions League and have fallen to 11th in the Premier League.
