U's expect duo to recover

Oxford are optimistic that Danny Hylton and Brian Howard will be able to feature against Stevenage.

The pair picked up knocks during Tuesday night's 3-1 win over Accrington, their first league victory of the season.

Howard, who made his full debut behind the forwards, looks set to keep his place if he can shake off his knock, while David Hunt will hope to return to the matchday squad.

Jon Meades returns to the fold having served his three-match ban for a red card against Cheltenham in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Stevenage will be without the suspended Ryan Johnson.

Johnson was sent off late on against Bury in midweek after receiving two yellow cards in the space of five minutes and the teenage defender, who only came on at Gigg Lane as an 81st-minute substitute, will serve a one-match ban.

Andy Bond is also suspended as he completes a three-game suspension for his red card against York.

Fellow midfielder Simon Walton will have his hamstring injury assessed, while striker Calvin Zola could make an appearance on the bench as he bids to make a full comeback from injury.
