No Blues talks for Robinson

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson has not been given permission to speak to Birmingham about their vacant manager's job.

Reports suggesting the Dons had given Blues the green light to hold talks with their manager are wide of the mark.

The Sky Bet League One side do not expect to lose Robinson, who had guided them to fifth before Tuesday night's fixtures.

Birmingham are looking for a new boss after parting company with Lee Clark on Monday.

Owen Coyle, Mike Phelan and Burton boss Gary Rowett have been linked to the job with Birmingham 21st in the Sky Bet Championship.

They go to Blackburn on Tuesday night with chief scout Malcolm Crosby and first team coach Richard Beale in caretaker charge.

Clark had been manager since June 2012 but had won just once at home in the league in a year and the club acted, with the former Huddersfield boss under pressure from fans.
