Newport strengthened ahead of Yeovil visit

Newport hope to have Sean Rigg back in the selection mix when they continue their survival fight against Rodney Parade visitors Yeovil on Friday.

Midfielder Rigg missed last weekend's 1-0 victory over Exeter because of an ankle problem, with manager Mike Flynn deciding not to risk him.

Captain Joss Labadie, meanwhile, remains absent as he serves the second game of a two-match ban after being sent off against Crawley, with Mark Randall expected to keep his spot.

Victory for Newport over Yeovil could take them out of the bottom three in League 2 for the first time since November following back-to-back wins.

Ryan Dickson (ankle) and Shayon Harrison (ill) are both set to return for Yeovil, who stil have an eye on the relegation battle.

Both players were absent for last weekend's trip to Portsmouth but have been passed fit for the trip, with Glovers currently five games without a win.

Otis Khan and Nathan Smith came off the bench during the narrow 1-0 defeat last week and are pushing for starts following long-term injuries, while Darren Ward (knee) and Alex Lawless (hamstring) are both out.

Bournemouth loanee Ben Whitfield is unavailable as he serves the second match of his three-game ban.
