Nani on the move to Arsenal?

Arsenal are reportedly considering a £15 million bid for out of form Manchester United winger Nani as per The Daily Star. The Portuguese international might be willing to make a move to the Emirates to resurrect his career under the tutelage of Arsene Wenger, the longest serving manager in the Premier League.

The speedy Nani might add an edge to Arsenal’s attack with his ability to control the ball and create space while playing on both wings. His position in the United starting lineup continues to diminish with only ten appearances in the last season. With United transitioning into a new era under David Moyes, Nani’s role becomes even more uncertain as the club will no doubt look to strengthen in the transfer season and that means Nani might be surplus to requirements or he might be left to warming the bench in an extended run-something that might persuade him to opt out of the club.

If a move does culminate in him moving to North London, Nani’s last significant moment with the Red Devils could be remembered as the 56th minute red card he received in the Champions League match against Real Madrid which ultimately altered the club’s fortunes in the tournament as two goals from the Spanish club saw United get eliminated.

It could be debated whether Nani would be able to rediscover his old form at Arsenal or if his career would continue to slide further. But, the prospect of a new beginning at a club with promising talent and aspirations for titles could work in the Portuguese’s favour after all. Do you think the winger would be a player who could turn around Arsenal’s flagging fortunes?
